Beechcroft Hotel New London Road Chelmsford

Purchased off market by Michael Benham for clients Marden Homes Ltd for conversion to a substantial care home.  This prominent building was purchased unconditionally for the clients.  Discretion was required due to the Beechcroft still trading as a hotel when the purchase was completed – 2008

Widford Chelmsford


A prominent site owned by Croudace Ltd on which planning permission was obtained for 17 flats.  In view of over supply for such development Croudace asked Michael Benham to negotiate sale of land.  A price comparable with residential land values was obtained by disposal to local builders merchants for use as a storage and supply depot to compliment existing yard and premises – 2006

Broomfield Chelmsford

An older style bungalow standing within a large garden was purchased unconditionally by Michael Benham for Marden Homes Ltd who have since obtained planning permission and are developing 8 detached homes on the site – 2007

Great Baddow Chelmsford

Period farmhouse in need of renovation with large garden.  Owners instructed Michael Benham to apply for planning permission on part of the garden and consent was obtained for a pair of semi detached bungalows.  Consent negotiated and agreed with Chelmsford Borough Council – 2007
 

Galleywood Chelmsford

A large site occupied by detached bungalow in semi-rural location opposite Chelmer Park.  Owners instructed Michael Benham to obtain planning permission for re-development of the site.  A planning application resulted in consent being obtained for 3 substantial detached homes.  Michael Benham asked to dispose of site with benefit of planning consent and sale agreed to Sovereign Country Homes with homes now in course of construction – 2007

Great Baddow Chelmsford

Approach by Michael Benham to owners of older style property with large adjoining garden for an infill plot.  Michael Benham instructed to obtain planning consent and then asked to sell plot with benefit of planning consent.  Property developed by Sovereign Country Homes to provide a luxuriously appointed compact house with benefit of established gardens – 2007
